Robinson Park - Sept. 17, 2024

First up on our list was Robinson Park. It was a beautiful day for hiking and playing in the stream. It felt very similar to Kamiak Butte (which I have been to many times). There are a few trails for hiking and some areas for the kids to play. Their favorite part by far was the stream.

Hiking with friends is always better :)

Someone (we didn't see who) left a smoldering fire. The kids had a lot of fun dumping water from the stream on it and then stirring the embers around to ensure it was completely extinguished. Great opportunity to discuss the three things a fire needs in order to stay burning (heat, fuel, oxygen) and how you can put out a fire by taking away one of the three things. Nothing like hands-on learning!
